Contribute to The BLB Cause
As a non-profit organization, Black Leadership Board (BLB) uses donations to fund our efforts to impact the lives of Chicago’s black students. The money we collect helps finance our programming, scholarships and other events to fulfill our mission.
BLB began in 2017, raising over $5000 to help create BLB Random Acts of Kindness, BLB Pay It Forward Scholarship and the BLB Scholarship Recipient Brunch.
BLB Random Acts of Kindness is a week of giving during which small financial gifts are presented on college campuses and other student-friendly locations. The goal is to help black students purchase books, grab a tie, stock up on groceries, or make any other small but important purchases that contribute to their overall success as an academic and emerging professional.
The BLB Pay It Forward Scholarship is a traditional, application-based scholarship of that challenges applicants to imagine creative ways to positively impact our communities in Chicago. Recipients are then recognized and presented their awards at the BLB Scholarship Recipient Brunch.
We know that success for black students starts in the classroom but goes beyond the walls of any college, university or trade school. We will continue to raise money so we can do more to positively affect the city.
We appreciate any amount you can give, as your generosity will allow us to expand our efforts to pay it forward.
